This week at Seward High

  • The Seward High Drama class will perform the Seussification of Romeo and Juliet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21st at the high school theater.  Come enjoy this whimsical reinvention of Shakespeare’s tragic love story.  The one-hour performance is open to the public and free of charge!
  • The Alaska Division of Forestry will be here on Wednesday, April 13 to provide a Wild Fire Safety Presentation.
  • We will run our afternoon modified bell schedule so this will begin at 12:35 and end at 1:30.
  • April is National Poetry Month.  Spoken Word Poetry Workshops will be held April 11-15 during language arts classes.  On Friday, we will run a modified bell schedule so a Poetry Slam can be held in the commons from 12-1:30pm.
  • Prom will be held on Saturday, April 23rd  from 8-11pm. Tickets cost $30 per individual, $50 per couple.  The theme is Sunset Beach and prom will be held aboard a Major Marine Tours boat that goes to Thumb Cove. Ticket sales are M-F for seniors, T-F for juniors, W-F sophomores and freshmen.  Space is limited to 130 people so buy your tickets early.
  • This is the last week for the Penny War!  To win, put as many pennies into your class jar, located in the office, and put any silver coins and/or dollar bills into the other classes to give them negative points. The winning class will be given a root beer float party after April 15.

 

 

  • Student athletes – be sure to sign up for your sports physical.  Forms must be turned in by today, April 11th.
